esp consulting recently facilitated the British Council Enterprise Challenge Employability workshops for young people in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The Enterprise Challenge Employability workshops is an international ‘Skills for Employability’ project that focused on developing entrepreneurial skills and supporting and encouraging innovation by putting young Emiratis in small groups to compete for a national prize.

The challenge was developed for students aged 16-25 and focused on developing skills of problem solving, communication, teamwork, financial literacy and leadership.  These hard and soft skills are central to the Effective Employability and Education qualifications from Edexcel; namely, Effective Behaviors for Work and Work Skills. esp consulting effectively blended the appropriate units of these qualifications to create a powerful learning experience for the participants to help prepare them for the Challenge which was held in Abu Dhabi on 14th March 2010.
